5. BERLUTI – REBEL REBEL
Skateboarder Blonde McCoy suited up for Berluti’s spring/summer 2020 campaign. Set in Rome, the campaign is shot by his long-time friend Alasdair Mclellan. This is the third campaign McCoy has done for Berluti under Kris Van Assche’s vision. “Blondey immaculately blends the qualities of an old soul with the lust for life of a new generation,” said Van Assche. “For Berluti, which historically catered to the likes of Greta Garbo, Robert Mapplethorpe and Patti Smith, his refined rebellious attitude is the spirit which the maison is entering a new decade.”
6. GUCCI – SURREAL MOMENTS
Nothing is too surreal for Alessandro Michele. For Gucci’s spring/summer 2020 campaign, he had a live horse accompany Cheikh Tall, Hao Liu and Erik Sathrum. Captured by photographer and director Yorgos Lanthimos, the campaign is shot in prestigious Chateau Marmont hotel and other areas around Los Angeles. The imagery is inspired by the power of threes. The models and the horse are seen walking around the beach, parking lots and even in an airplane. Conceptually, horses are also symbols of freedom and they align with one of the core tenets of Gucci’s spring/summer 2020 show, which is “all about the power of fashion to break the cage of rules with self-determination of personal style.”
7. VERSACE – BLURRED LINES
Versace is blurring the lines between public and private life with an overlay of keyboard visuals and the models for its spring/summer 2020 campaign. The campaign is shot by duo Mert & Marcus with models Kohei Takabatake, Justin Eric Martin and Tommy Vanden Meerssche. They’re showcasing Donatella Versace’s menswear creation that is inspired by the late Prodigy frontman, Keith Flint.
8. VALENTINO – WORD ON THE STREET
Valentino unveils its spring/summer 2020 men’s campaign with a street inspired set as its background. The campaign features models Maikls Mihelsons, Malick Bodian, Freek Iven, Sofia Steinberg and Braien Vaiksaar. The stylish group of models appeared before the lens of photographer Hugo Comte. The campaign also features the Italian’s fashion house collaboration collection with artist Roger Dean.
