Challenge Cristiano Ronaldo’s Record In Nike’s Living Room Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo is challenging those currently in self-isolation to beat his ridiculous workout record that kick started Nike’s Living Room Cup. The digital workout series will feature the brand’s ambassadors, each with a challenge from their respective sports.

As one of the world’s biggest sports brands, Nike is helping those staying indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic to stay in shape by launching the Living Room Cup. The digital workout series is part of Nike’s Training Club App, which allows those looking to bring fitness routines indoors to go head-to-head against Nike’s lineup of pro athletes through weekly fitness challenges.

The series kicks things off with an ab workout challenge led by none other than Nike’s biggest sports ambassador and one of football’s G.O.A.T.s: Christiano Ronaldo. The mega star challenges fans, followers and any athlete to beat his ridiculous “core crusher record” of 142 reps in an outstanding 45 seconds in just one week.

Former teammate and one of Real Madrid’s youngest prospects Vinicius Junior attempted to break Ronaldo’s record but only managed to do 125 core crushers. However, he’s still proud enough to share his results on his personal Instagram account with the caption: “A Sunday with 125 core crushers, that’s not bad.”

As the series goes on, Nike will continue to enlist its famous ambassadors to challenge self-isolating sport fanatics and provide competition that “defines the world of sport.” If you’re thinking that it’s almost impossible to beat the pros, Nike’s training app will provide you weekly workout routines that are specially designed to prepare you for each week’s challenge.

Last but not least, in hopes to connect the global sport community (which means we’ll be expecting more workout Instagram posts and stories), participants will be able to share and see the result of others on the social media app using the hashtags #playinside and #thelivingroomcup. Claim the title of every challenge from Nike and its pro athlete’s by downloading the Nike’s Training Club app now.
