TUDOR Black Bay Chrono 39 “Bumblebee”
Once again, TUDOR rewrites the horological playbook, injecting a fresh burst of energy into its lineup with the new Black Bay Chrono 39 “Bumblebee.” Part of the brand’s Daring Watches collection, the latest release pairs a vibrant yellow dial with a more wearable 39 mm stainless steel case, proving that bold design doesn’t have to come at the expense of everyday versatility.
Measuring 13.1 mm thick, the satin-brushed and polished case houses the COSC-certified Manufacture Calibre MT5813, a column-wheel chronograph movement with a 70-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring. Up front, TUDOR’s signature Snowflake hands, a hallmark of the brand’s dive watches since 1969, have been subtly redesigned to improve legibility over the contrasting black subdials. Everyday comfort also receives an upgrade thanks to a new three-link stainless steel bracelet equipped with the tool-free T-fit rapid-adjustment clasp, allowing for quick, precise sizing throughout the day.
Balancing the spirit of motorsport with TUDOR’s dive watch heritage, the “Bumblebee” is far more than a nostalgic revival. Instead, it presents a confident take on the modern sports chronograph, combining distinctive color, everyday practicality and technical substance in equal measure.
