The Big Bang is one of Hublot’s most forward-thinking collections, featuring iterations crafted from ceramic, carbon, titanium and sapphire. The Yellow Magic edition is particularly noteworthy because achieving vibrant and bold colors on watch cases was a long-standing challenge. Crafting this brightly colored high-tech ceramic demanded an extensive four-year journey of development, where the delicate balance of temperature and pressure was meticulously calibrated to allow the ceramic to sinter without compromising the pigments—a testament to Hublot’s unwavering commitment to innovation.

To this day, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic remains one of the collection’s most captivating and visually striking offerings. The 42mm multi-part ceramic case naturally takes center stage, retaining the iconic angular, layered, integrated bracelet design of the Big Bang line. What sets it apart is the Yellow Magic ceramic material, which introduces a dimension of intense, fully saturated yellow gloss, making it an eye-catching masterpiece.

The former boasts a nearly complete sub-dial surface, while the latter presents a clean, minimalistic outer ring.
For the Yellow Magic, Hublot maintains a cohesive color scheme between the case and the dial by incorporating black lume and applying a black finish to the exposed skeleton bridges. This design choice allows elements such as the date wheel, gear train and column wheel to stand out against the backdrop and showcasing some of the movement’s intricate mechanics without becoming visually overwhelming.
The Hublot Big Bang Unico Yellow Magic is driven by the in-house HUB1280 automatic flyback chronograph movement, which is carried over from previous Big Bang Unico models. This intricately skeletonized movement delivers robust performance and a 72-hour power reserve. To complete the timepiece and enhance its sporty aesthetic, Hublot integrated a matching ridged strap crafted in vibrant yellow and black rubber.
