With her highly anticipated second full-length album, Lady Gaga did a little fan service by dropping the title track single, &#8220;Born This Way&#8221; in February. With uplifting and individualistic lyrics, the single caters to those already familiar with the message &#8220;Mother Monster&#8221; has to offer. Recently released (on May 23), it is one of the fastest-selling albums in years, topping over 1 million sold in the USA alone by the end of May.
As for the LP itself, well, Gaga is calling it the &#8220;greatest album of this decade.&#8221; That&#8217;s a bold statement, but certainly one fitting of her charisma and flair for the dramatic.
It was a case of too much expectation, perhaps, but several music critics have panned it. However, time will tell once the hype dies down, whether this is a good album. We can say for sure that it&#8217;s solid and uplifting. It&#8217;s certainly a must-have for diehard fans.
