Held to coincide with the 18th ASEAN Summit, this year’s Balinale, or Bali International Film Festival, will be highlighting Southeast Asia’s people and cultures.
Balinale 2011 committee has announced that the international film festival is rescheduled to 15-20 November to coincide with the annual ASEAN (Association of South East Nations) Summit, which takes place in Bali around the same time. The change, according to the festival’s Facebook page, is hoped to garner a wider audience.
To celebrate the 10 countries participating in the Summit, the festival will host ASEAN Film Focus that aims to promote movie production in the region and expose the talents to international filmmakers. A special ASEAN Film Festival program will run on 16-17 November.
Balinale 2011 will be held in Galeria 21 Cineplex, Mal Bali Galeria.
