<p><em>Seven new references join the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet lineup, highlighting how the collection has evolved through its five-year journey</em></p>

<p>Back in 2019, during the annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie fair, Audemars Piguet caused quite a stir by introducing a completely new watch collection. The Code 11.59 by <a href="https://daman.co.id/tag/audemars-piguet/">Audemars Piguet</a> quickly established itself as a versatile collection with a distinctive set of aesthetic codes.</p>
<p>Interestingly, the word “Code” in the name is actually an acronym for “challenge,” “own,” “dare” and “evolve,” which is quite a clever and compelling way to convey the significance of the collection. The “11.59” part, meanwhile, symbolizes the last minute before a new day and indicates a new beginning— which is both fitting and inspiring.</p>
<h2>CODES OF THE CODE</h2>
<p>The most notable characteristic of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet is its unique case design that combines an octagonal middle case—a nod to the Royal Oak’s iconic shape—with a round bezel and caseback.</p>

<p>The watches in this collection are also equipped with a double-curved sapphire crystal that enhances legibility and offers a distinctive aesthetic. Naturally, the dials of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet watches are just as meticulously crafted, featuring a variety of finishes such as lacquered, smoked and sunburst patterns.</p>
<h2>E FOR EVOLUTION</h2>
<p>The Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet also puts a lot of emphasis on diversity of models, having initially launched with 13 references and three new movements.</p>
<p>Since then, the collection has constantly evolved, adding increasingly prestigious mechanical complications (such as the Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonnerie in 2020) and new visual complications (the Starwheel in 2022 comes to mind).</p>

<p>The aesthetic codes of Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet have similarly grown through the years. A two-tone design (white gold case with a pink gold case middle) was introduced in 2020, together with a new palette of colors along with sunburst and smoked finishes. 2022 then saw the first selfwinding models set with diamonds, while 2023 had the first stainless-steel models.</p>
<p>The aforementioned examples, however, represent only a small portion of the progression and growth that is central to Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet. In short, the “E stands for ‘evolve’” part of the name is more than just a clever label. And, naturally, this evolution continues well into this year&#8230;</p>
<h2>THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN</h2>
<p>As the Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet reaches the half decade mark, seven exciting references join the family. The definite highlight of these new references are the embossed dial patterns, created in collaboration with Swiss guilloché craftsman Yann von Kaenel. These dials feature a pattern of concentric circles like ripples on the surface of water, which are in turn adorned with hundreds of tiny holes that create a unique play of light.</p>
<p>The new Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet lineup include two 38mm models and five in 41mm. The first 38mm model features luminous light blue tones, while the second comes with the “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” color that was first introduced on the first Royal Oak (Model 5402). Moving on to the 41mm models, we have two Selfwinding models and three Selfwinding Chronographs showcasing three different color schemes: green, “Bleu Nuit, Nuage 50” and black.</p>

<p>Of course, these new references are powered by robust in-house mechanical movements. The 38mm models feature the Calibre 5900, the 41mm Selfwinding models come equipped with the Calibre 4302, while the Selfwinding Chronograph watches have the Calibre 4401.</p>
<p>The workings of these mechanical marvels can be observed through the sapphire crystal caseback of the watches. Also visible are the various haute horlogerie decorations on the movements, including the prestigious Côtes de Genève.</p>

<p>The Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet watches successfully made a name for itself thanks to its unique design, by the way it balances traditional watchmaking and modernity, as well as the collection’s immense versatility.
