adidas unveils the Ultraboost 5

Almost a decade after the first Ultraboost, footwear giant adidas presents the biggest redesign of the show with the Ultraboost 5

Since its initial launch in 2015, the adidas Ultraboost has become a definite choice for high-performance running shoes. The design features Ultraboost foam—hence the name—which is a revolutionary midsole cushioning material that provides more energy return and shock absorption, making running more enjoyable than ever.

This innovation, of course, has made the Ultraboost one of adidas’ biggest franchises, which led to a new design featuring new improvements to be ever-relevant. And on that note, adidas has unveiled the Ultraboost 5, which uses an engineered Light Boost midsole packed with nine millimeters of additional foam under the heel and forefoot. This has resulted in reduced weight and higher cushioning along with two percent more fore energy return compared to the previous Ultraboost Light 1.

In addition to the new cushioning, the Ultraboost 5 also boasts a new adaptive Primeknit upper. This particular element offers adaptability and enhances fit in key zones, further maximizing breathability to ensure coolness every step of the way. With the new cushioning and fresh upper design, the Ultraboost 5 makes a suitable pair for everyday run or even any casual occasion.

The Ultraboost 5 is available in a white and gray base with expressive Spark Orange and Lucid Pink color pops, representing the burst of energy the shoe unlocks.
