<h2>Coach introduces the Coach x Jean-Michel Basquiat collection with a global campaign starring Michael B. Jordan, Jennifer Lopez, Yang Zi, and other members of the Coach family.</h2>
The collection debuted on Coach&#8217;s runway last February as part of the brand’s fall 2020 collection. It introduces Basquiat’s signature artwork and values to a new generation through a theme of family.

Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers explains in the collection’s statement: “Basquiat is one of my heroes. He embodied the creative, inclusive spirit of New York and was a force for change in his community. I am proud to celebrate his work and values and help bring them to a new generation. I’m also incredibly grateful for the support and trust given to me by Basquiat’s family, and would like to thank them for their help in creating this collection and campaign.”

Speaking of the campaign, it was created in collaboration with photographer Micaiah Carter and a global collective of creatives including Paloma Elsesser, Jon Batiste, Kyemah McEntyre, Diana Gordon and photographer Fan Xin and Zhang Meng. The campaign tells the story of families united by shared beliefs and purpose. It highlights Basquiat’s vision of unapologetic expression, activism through art and his desire, as he once said, to “be part of the family of artists.”
