The 29-year-old, though, is still busy strutting down runways and doing photo shoots, just like this one. “I’m very grateful with the progress of my career,” says the September-born star. “I’ve done so many different things; I did a movie; I feel so blessed.” Having spent 16 years in the entertainment industry, Verhoeven sees herself becoming a model mentor one day. “When I was young, I used to think that I’d be a model until I’m 40 or 50-years old,” Verhoeven continues. “But now, when I feel I’ve accomplished everything I’ve ever dreamed of, my passion has shifted. Now I want to be one of those people who work behind the scenes.”
“Don’t get me wrong, I still love doing commercials or occasionally walk for fashion weeks, but now I’m at a point where I’d like to contribute to the modeling world by sharing my experience to aspiring models,” she adds. Verhoeven has already made plans to open a modeling school with her friends, but she’s still waiting for the right time to turn that dream into a reality. “Young models, most of them are still at the stage of figuring out what they want to do,” she concludes. “They need guidance and I’d be happy to share the lessons and experience that I’ve had to them.”
