Yohji Yamamoto & Adidas Got Sportier

A GOOD SPORT. After 13 years on the market, Y-3, the brainchild of Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas, is stepping up its game by debuting a new line called Y-3 Sport

Conceptualized as the brand’s very first entry into performance wear, the premier collection was unveiled online and in select stores on April 15.

The collection also takes advantage of Adidas’ finest sporting technology, from the varied features from the Boost shoe to bonded clothing construction.

Those high-athletic elements were then reworked and rethought by Yohji Yamamoto, who eventually produced a head-to-toe collection that is almost completely monochromatic black.

The clothing and footwear pieces were smartly configured to conform to both utilitarian needs and style perfection.

It’s no wonder that most of the pieces flew off the racks.
