ONCE IN A BLUE MOON. When would you get a chance to spot two moons at once? Marking the line’s 75th anniversary, the new Portugieser Perpetual Calendar by IWC comes with either one or double moon display in the moon-phase complication.
This one-a-kind feature complements the powerful presentation of IWC’s own perpetual calendar mechanism, powered by an inhouse automatic movement, caliber 52615. At 9 o’clock, you can see a sub-dial that showcases the seconds and the day. At 3 o’clock, the sub-dial also shows two references, the eight-day power reserve indicator and the date. At 6 o’clock is the month display, flanked by a digital year display on the left. Available in white and red gold, the 44.2mm Portugieser requires a date correction about once every 100 years.
