We haven’t seen the end of fashion calendar shake-up yet
What started by the likes of Burberry and Tom Ford has now been adapted by Vivienne Westwood as well. The iconic designer has announced her plan to show both her men and women’s collections at the same time.
As a result, Westwood will not be showing her men’s fall 2017 collection in Milan like usual; instead it will be presented together with the womenswear during London Collection: Men’s in January. Furthermore, both the women’s collection, known as the Red Label, and the men’s, known as the MAN Label, are now folded into one under her namesake brand.
Previously, Westwood has also renamed her Gold Label line into Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood to honor her husband and design partner.
Regarding this shake-up, the brand has published an official release on its blog, stating that “the decision follows the company’s wider strategy to simplify its line portfolio by unifying its mainline collections under a single brand umbrella.”
