The weather may be getting colder in some parts of the world but it’s almost always summer in Los Angeles, where artist Alex Israel resides
Known for his Los Angeles-inspired artworks, Israel was working on a scene of his upcoming debut feature film “SPF-18” when he was contacted by Vilebrequin. The beachwear brand, which has teamed up with photographer Massimo Vitali and the Rolling Stones in the past, was looking for another collaborator, and it found its answer in Israel.
And it just so happened that Israel’s movie includes Vilebrequin-wearing teenage surfers. It’s, like, they’re destined to be together!
The collaborative trunks will feature Israel’s interpretation of a wave, which will also make an appearance in Israel’s movie. Bright and colorful, it fits so well with Vilebrequin’s design DNA.
The new trunk will be launched in the U.S. next month before hitting Vilebrequin’s stores in other countries next year in February.
