Dior Homme Sport, not to be confused with 2008 and 2012 fragrances of the same name, is Dior Homme’s upcoming fragrance for men
Set to be released in February, the latest version of Dior Homme Sport is described as a rediscovery of its two predecessors.
Inspired by modern-age dynamic lifestyle, the new Dior Homme Sport is made of “extreme” fruits and “explosive” notes. The top notes are zesty at best, with citrus accords of lemon, blood orange and grapefruit. Pink pepper and nutmeg are added to create spicy heart notes, while the woody base notes consist of sandalwood and vetiver.
Notably missing from the list of notes is iris, which has been a signature of Dior Homme Sport fragrances. Perhaps it’s perfumer Francois Demachy‘s version of “extreme”?
On the contrary, there’s nothing extreme or surprising about the fragrance’s campaign, which stars Robert Pattinson, especially since the actor has fronted a couple of Dior Homme’s ads in the past. Showing a black-and-white photograph of Pattinson at a skeleton construction, the campaign also comes with a tagline that reads “Life is a Playground.”
