Germany-originated leather goods label MCM is linking with British designer Christopher Raeburn to create a collaborative unisex spring 2017 collection.

Not unlike Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Eclipse capsule that is inspired from the brand’s archives, MCM and Raeburn, too, take a look back at the brand’s history in order to come up with the upcoming collection. According to WWD, Raeburn has reworked MCM’s signature Visetos canvas into new patterns.

But history isn’t the only thing on Raeburn and MCM’s mind when designing the collection. Made with recycled plastic bottles and environmentally-friendly fabrics, the sustainable collection is not only a nod to the past, but also an ode to the future.

“We’re living in a changing world and it’s a particularly interesting time for the fashion industry so I’ve nothing but respect for MCM who are seeking to innovate, not only in creativity, but in our thinking around and consumption of contemporary fashion,” says Raeburn.
