MAIDEN VOYAGER. French luxury house Louis Vuitton has carved its own time-keeping niche with its distinctive creations
The latest of these is the Voyager GMT, a brand new line boasting a rather uncanny case design, a hybrid between a circle and a square, with protruding surfaces at 3 and 9 o’clock.
The case measures 41.5mm and comes in stainless steel, bearing the signature “V” logo at 12 o’clock and above the GMT or the second time zone, whose 24-hour numerals slide accordingly. The black background denotes night, while the blue side shows daytime.
With a 42-hour power reserve, this automatic watch hits stores complemented by either a gray Louis Vuitton Taurillon leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet.
There’s an elevated version made in pink gold with a deep blue dial and navy blue alligator strap, to boot.
