FOR THE ESCAPIST. Citrus has been one of sources for L’Occitane for their men-oriented grooming series, not excluding the newest fragrance
To understand the essence of L’Occitane‘s new men’s fragrance, L’Homme Cologne Cedrat, one must learn of its roots first. Like all L’Occitane products, it all began in Provence, a region in southeastern France, where the city of Arles is located. Nestled on the banks of the Rhône River, the city was also an important port and the men of Arles passed down the tradition of sailing to their sons.
Inspired by the sea and its never-ending horizon, L’Occitane then launched L’Homme Cologne Cedrat for men who look to “escape to the Mediterranean and explore new horizons.” For that reason, L’Homme Cologne Cedrat is composed of notes, which represent the freshness of the sea and also the balmy climate and relaxed pace of life in the city.
The head notes, for instance, consists of fresh citrus (cedrat) peel and frosted mint. They’re blended with violet leaf, lavender, black pepper, pink peppercorn and ginger, which complete the heart notes. Finally, the cologne is concluded with base notes of cedar, amber and musk.
