It’s different. It’s wild. It’s certainly turning heads. Nike’s recent collaboration with Jerry Lorenzo of high-end street brand Fear of God gave birth to some of the sickest looking sneakers we’ve seen in a while. Here are those crazy pairs – and one that is coming soon.
Nike Fear of God 1
It was just meant to be something alien from the start. That high top boot silhouette. That sparse laces that goes up and around the ankles. That lavish leather upper and the elegant lacing cage. That thick midsole and the square air pocket.
Nike Fear of God Shoot Around
Just when we haven’t got over the number 1, Shoot Around came in an even cleaner facade. Just a big block of monochromed shoe with no visible stitches and details – except the strap on the ankle and the toggle lacing system beneath it.
Fear of God x Nike Air Skylon 2
Reinterpreting a classic Nike runner shoe this time, Lorenzo added some interesting details such as the toggle lace, mixed upper materials, a glossy (or even transparent) swoosh on the side panel, and giving it his own FoG signature.
Nike Fear of God Moccasin
The latest from this collab to come out soon, is surprisingly an understated silhouette. A deconstructed sports moccasin with Nike Air pocket thick midsole, a velcro strap and a toggle lacing on the heel of all places.
