Hozier Stars in John Varvatos’ First Ever Colored Campaign

Irish musician Andrew Hozier-Byrne, or simply known as Hozier, is John Varvatos’ latest muse

Like us, designer John Varvatos is a fan of the Grammy-nominated song and one of last year’s biggest hits, “Take Me to Church” and subsequently its singer, Hozier. “I had a connection when I first heard his song ‘Take Me to Church,'” Varvatos says, as quoted from WWD. And apparently, the feeling is mutual, as Hozier has always loved and is a customer of Varvatos’ designs.

So it’s only natural that Varvatos has chosen Hozier as the face of his brand’s fall/winter 2016 ad campaign.

Unlike his other campaigns, this one is colored; a first in Varvatos’ eponymous brand. In charge of the first-of-its-kind campaign is Danny Clinch, who photographed and filmed Hozier in New Jersey.

Other than modeling some of the pieces from the brand’s fall/winter 2016 range, Hozier has also taped an acoustic performance of his song, “To Be Alone.” Serving as an accompaniment of the campaign image, the performance is said to be inspired by Bob Dylan.
