<p>“There is a sense of travelling from West to East and back again,” Jones says of the collection. One of the souvenirs he brought back from the East to the runway is boro, an ancient Japanese patchwork technique. Originated in the 1500s by members of impoverished Japanese seaboard communities, who would sew patches of different fabrics together to fix their clothing, boro is now a much celebrated facet of Japanese heritage. Jones has applied the technique to create patchwork denim shirts, shorts and jackets.</p>
