Designer Dries Van Noten is publishing two fashion books to coincide with the arrival of his fall/winter 2016 collections
There are two books in total, dedicated to his men’s and women’s collection respectively.
The men’s version consists of photographs from the designer’s show at Paris Opera Garnier. All of the pictures are collected from photographers both professional and amateur alike. It has been Van Noten’s dream for the last 17 years to present at the Paris Opera Garnier, so the moment, and therefore the book, must be quite special.
Meanwhile, the book’s female counterpart consists of illustrations of the women’s fall/winter 2016 collection. British artist Gill Button, who has also worked on the display windows of Dries Van Noten’s flagship store at Modepaleis in Antwerp, Belgium, is commissioned to depict the inspiration behind the collection, which is the relationship between two Italian aristocrats, Marchesa Cassati and Gabriele D’Annunzio.
The books are already available for viewing at Dries Van Noten‘s boutiques.
