Drake has “Started from the Bottom” as early as 15 years old, starring in a television series, and eventually became the “Best I Ever Had” for thousands of his fans. For him “Nothing Was the Same” again, especially after he snagged a Grammy a couple of years ago. And with his record for the most number-one hits on Billboard’s R&B/hip-hop chart, it is no surprise that the Canadian rapper proclaimed, “What a Time to be Alive.” Romance has been quite a whirlwind for Drake, however, as he resorts to “Hotline Bling” for a second chance.

Catchy, emotional lyrics with equally catchy melodies from the multi-talented Drake make for plenty of earworm material as they evoke cherished memories or take the mind on romantic journeys. His musical cred is further solidified by his collaborations with the likes of Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Timbaland and Kanye West. On the digital front, his video for “Hotline Bling” has taken the Internet by storm and sparked hundreds—if not thousands—of memes based on his eccentric yet relatable moves.

In addition to his music career, Drake has carved a name for himself in the fashion industry. His wardrobe for the aforementioned video clip has been scrutinized by many streetwear enthusiasts, resulting in notable increases in sales for the brands he wore. Before that, back in 2014, the creative director for men’s fashion at Calvin Klein Collection, Italo Zucchelli, designed a special collection for his “Would You Like a Tour?” concert tour.

On top of all that, he has grown to be much more than just an artist with the establishment of OVO (October’s Very Own). What started as a blog about his crew eventually developed into an all-encompassing lifestyle brand, which now includes his own clothing company, record label and annual festival.
