OH BOY. Better late than never for Dior Homme to pick up their speed in the digital world
After what seems to be forever in internet years, Dior Homme finally opened its very own Instagram account. After it was announced via Dior’s official Instagram some hours ago, @diorhomme took no time to reveal the latest face of Kris Van Assche-helmed brand’s summer 2017 campaign: Boy George.
The Instagram post features a black-and-white portrait of the legendary musician, shot by Dior Homme’s regular collaborator Willy Vanderperre. The caption underneath includes the hashtag: #KVASquad, which is undoubtedly Van Assche’s answer to #WangSquad, #GivenchyMuse and #BalmainArmy. And also a way for the brand to be more relevant to younger audience, perhaps? The decision to pick an ’80s star is interesting, though, if it’s true.
