NARROW IT DOWN. Much like the bomber jacket, tapered pants never really go out of style, and the style du jour for this season is all about loose silhouettes
1. Geeky Sleeky
Simple, straight-cut pieces can help you achieve a cool but effortless “smart geek” look. A pair of swanky glasses will certainly help as well.
2. Grunge Punch
Tuck-in your T-shirt into your pants, and wear a plaid shirt casually to maximize the grunge content of your ensemble.

3. Make It Work
Tapered pants are the greatest choice for your weekdays this season. The loose silhouette, in particular, gives you freedom of movement while still looking sophisticated enough for more formal occasions.
1. RELIVE THE ’70S
Tapered pants with a visibly high waist were all the rage back in the roaring ’70s, and they’re making a comeback today.
2. KEEP IT CLEAN
For straight-cut tapered pants, subtlety is the name of the game. Keep the embellishments and emblematic touches at a bare minimum.
3. KEEP AN EYE ON THE LENGTH
Getting the best fit possible is always important, but it’s doubly so with tapered pants. Most importantly, make sure it doesn’t get too narrow when it reaches your ankles.
1. RELIVE THE HAMMER LOOK
While loose silhouettes are back in, baggy tapered trousers are not. You really don’t want to pull off the MC Hammer.
2. PICK BRIGHT HUES
As with just about any kind of straight-cut trousers, bright colors are best avoided. Unless you actually want to go for a loud look, stay with black.
3. FORGET YOUR ANKLES
As mentioned above, you really should pay attention to how a pair of tapered pants narrows down around the ankles. Make sure it’s not too narrow, which makes it ungainly.
