<a href="https://backend.daman.co.id/tag/kenzo/">KENZO</a> and <a href="https://backend.daman.co.id/tag/levis/">Levi’s</a>® are launching a Fall 2023 capsule collection, marking the first-ever collaboration under Nigo&#8217;s leadership at KENZO. This denim-focused collection embodies the fusion of historical Japanese craftsmanship and classic American workwear at the core of KENZO’s Artistic Director&#8217;s vision. Crafted from premium Japanese denim from Kaihara, this collection, comprising approximately twenty garments and accessories, exemplifies Nigo’s pragmatic approach to fashion and pays homage to American denim&#8217;s significance in fashion history. This blend bridges Americana, Japanese craftsmanship, and the heritage of Kenzo Takada, who was inspired by the democratic spirit of denim, leading to the launch of the KENZO JEANS line in 1986.

Each piece in this collection features a unique insignia merging the classic Levi Strauss &amp; Co. &#8220;two horse pull&#8221; iconography with the KENZO logo. Metal Levi’s®shanks are adorned with the emblematic Boke flower, and the back pockets proudly showcase the iconic Levi’s® arcuate stitching. The collection introduces two captivating motifs: the Sashiko print, reminiscent of traditional Japanese stitching techniques, and an archive floral print revived from the KENZO JEANS line. From gender-inclusive outerwear like denim jackets to denim blazers that combine tailoring with jean jacket features, the collection offers a range of options. Additionally, pieces like tops and jeans cater to diverse styles, and accessories make a bold statement, with a denim tie complementing the fusion of workwear and tailoring.

The East-meets-West concept of KENZO x Levi’s® is beautifully captured in a campaign shot in Kyoto. Nigo enlisted Japanese filmmaker Umi Ishihara, known for her blend of documentary and fiction styles, to create cinematic moving imagery in two traditional sansou mountain villas in Kyoto. These locations also provided the backdrop for a series of still images photographed by Ryu Ika, an Inner Mongolian photographer who brings a unique everyday perspective to the collection. The campaign features a diverse ensemble cast: Abas Abdirazaq, Hayato, Masato Eun, Peipei, Sen Ping and Shun.
