What We Love Today: Zenith’s Chronomaster Revival A385

The warm brown tones of the Zenith Chronomaster Revival A385’s striking gradient dial will develop a unique patina with time and wear

The latest Chronomaster Revival A385 from Zenith is far more than just a vintage-inspired creation. The watch is, in fact, an actual reproduction of the A385’s original model from 1969, in an exercise of “reverse engineering” by the manufacture.

In particular, Zenith uses the original blueprints as well as production plans of the vintage model. And each part of the A385’s 37mm tonneau-shaped stainless-steel case—including the pump-style pushers—is also faithful to the original 1969 model.

To top it off, Zenith also sought to recreate the same warm tones and gradient effect of the smoked brown gradient dial with a vignette effect that blackens towards the edges and provides a striking sense of visual depth. Above all, with its historically correct proportions, the Chronomaster Revival A385 is perfect for those who appreciate the timeless look.
