Being newcomers to the fair, Bell & Ross did make a splash with a distinctive collection that catered to all tastes
Bell & Ross made its debut at Watches and Wonders Geneva this year, and the brand surely caught everyone’s attention. For instance, the BR 03 Diver White Bronze will acquire a distinctive patina over time, giving the watch a distinctive appearance. Crafted from CuSn8, the brand used this alloy to create this watch, and it is made up of 92-percent copper and 8-percent tin.
Created as a professional-grade tool for divers, the watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters, making it ideal for diving and other water sports. The classic diver’s helmet is now etched in hypoallergenic stainless steel on the back of BR 03-92 Diver Bronze watches, which can be seen by turning the watch over.
Moreover, the GMT feature and date display in the latest BR 03-93 GMT Blue makes it quite handy for people who travel regularly, and the watch’s distinctive blue and grey color scheme gives it a sleek, contemporary appearance. Driven by the BR-CAL.303 self-winding mechanical movement with 42 hours of power reserve, the watch showcases a 24-hour scale on the bi-directional rotating bezel, a blue and grey two-color anodized aluminum ring, and a blue sunray dial.
As a final touch, the exquisite blue Nappa Soft calf leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching dramatically accentuates the sunburst dial, brilliantly reflecting the steel bezel’s blue tint. Meanwhile, the large blue and grey bezel on the watch, which shows the daytime hours in blue and the nighttime hours in grey, has a distinctive character that instantly recognizes it.
Moving on, other notable timepieces at the Bell & Ross booth is the BR 05 Green Gold. The design is both contemporary and striking, and this watch is a beautiful mix of an 18-karat 5N rose gold case and bracelet with a green sunray dial, as the name suggests.
The dial is minimalistic and subtle, with a bright, glittering shade of green. The painted metal plate that serves as the dial’s base has a sunburst effect that causes it to change color when tilted from deep bottle green to fluorescent shade, depending on the reflections that touch its surface.
In addition to being visually appealing, the BR 05 now features a leather strap for the first time, and a second alligator-leather strap is now available in a classic style to accompany this elegant timepiece. Meanwhile, at the back, the sapphire crystal case back lets the wearer view the watch’s inner workings, particularly the automatic BR-CAL.321 mechanism and the oscillating weight uniquely adorned in gold.
