DEPTH GAUGE

The blue indicator Signifies the current Dive depth, while The red marks the Deepest dive ever Achieved. The Pressure-metering System is actually Housed in a large Second crown on the Left side of the case.

RESET BUTTON

The ceramic pushbutton is used to reset the maximum depth display (red indicator on depth gauge) to zero.

CASE-BACK

The titanium caseback is secured by five screws and sports an intricate relief engraving of a diver’s helmet, referring to the watch’s diving utility.

AQUATIMER DEEP THREE

Despite many dive watches on the market, no brands dared taking the path less trodden as iwc did. It puts all of its concentration on expanding the Aquatimer line, producing more than six exciting novelties, including the latest update on the Aquatimer deep model.

Called the Aquatimer deep three, it is the only piece of the product family that has a mechanical depth gauge. While the gauge is pretty much the same with the deep two (launched in 2009), the novelty replaces the old bezel with the new Safedive system. When diving, the internal bezel can be used to indicate the remaining time of gas tank by rotating the external bezel anticlockwise. Any clockwise rotation of the external bezel will not affect the internal bezel. Plus, this new system protects the time markers on the internal bezel from any dirt or scratches.
