After 23 years, fans of the original ‘Wall Street’ are treated to a sequel. ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’ follows a supposedly reformed and not-money-minded, Gordon Gecko (Michael Douglas) on a two-tiered mission alongside Jacob (Shia LaBeouf).

Also known as Wall Street 2, it is indeed the sequel to the original Oliver Stone 1987 hit Wall Street starring Michael Douglas as Gordon Gecko.
Well, Gecko is now out of prison and his daughter (Carey Mulligan) is grown up. Her fiancé is none other than Shia LeBeouf’s character Jake Moore, who is also a Wall St. whiz kid.
Has Gecko truly reformed or is he the same old “greed is good, greed works” monster? Whatever the answer, Douglas has been nominated for a Golden Globe, LeBeouf is serviceable and Charlie Sheen (aka, Bud Fox) makes a cameo.
