Valentino honors the 2026 Qixi Festival, often known as China’s Valentine’s Day, with a campaign that transforms passion into a cinematic reverie. Created under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, the latest visual narrative celebrates quiet emotions and effortless aesthetics, capturing the fleeting moments that can define love more profoundly than grand gestures.
Set within a surreal bookshop where reality and imagination appear to merge, the campaign was photographed by renowned artist Wing Shya, whose evocative visual language is closely associated with the films of Wong Kar-wai. The narrative features Lars Huang and other Chinese artists, following a series of chance encounters and lingering glances as they browse the stacks. Desire, curiosity and unspoken affection gradually emerge through these seemingly ordinary moments.

The film also showcases key pieces from Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection, weaving the House’s latest creations naturally into the narrative. Artistic details, expressive silhouettes and romantic tailoring enrich the cinematic atmosphere without overpowering it.
More than a seasonal campaign, Valentino’s Qixi presentation brings together Alessandro Michele’s creative vision and Wing Shya’s distinctive eye in a poetic meditation on love.
