This April, BMW Indonesia introduced the latest iterations of THE NEW 5. Dubbed “the world’s most successful business sedan,” the new BMW 5 Series is now represented by two exciting models. First up there’s the new BMW 520i M Sports for those with an eye for performance, along with the new BMW 530i Opulence for those looking to ride in style.

Dynamism on the road: The new BMW 520i M Sport

The new BMW 520i M Sport is sporty on the inside out. Literally, that is, as the complete BMW M Sport package that now comes as a standard applies to the exterior and the interior. On the outside, you can find touches like an M rear spoiler and the BMW Individual Exterieur Line Aluminium satinated. Color wise, the new BMW 520i M Sport can sport the exclusive M Carbon Black paintwork, or two other newly added designs, namely Bernina Grey Amber and Phytonic Blue.
Another aesthetic touch point to note is the 19-inch M light-alloy wheels Y-spoke style 845 M Bicolour Jet Black with mixed tires.
Beneath all of those visual elements, the new BMW 520i M Sport is powered by a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine featuring Double VANOS, High Precision Injection and BMW EfficientDynamics technology. This engine has a maximum output of 184hp and a peak torque of 290Nm, allowing the BMW 520i M Sport to go from a standstill to 100kph in just 7.8 seconds. And to top it all off, the car has impressive mileage (at 14,7km/liter) and low CO2 emission ratings (156g/km).
All in all, this is certainly a top pick for sporty drivers who still appreciate style.

Ride in style: The new BMW 530i Opulence

The new BMW 530i Opulence brings this idea back in a big way. The model’s subtle chrome line exterior packages really come alive with the Bicolour Ferric Grey paintwork and burnished finishing. This color scheme, in turn, works really well with the 19-inch light alloy wheels W-spoke style 663 Bicolour with mixed tires.
Unsurprisingly, the real charm of the BMW 530i Opulence is inside: From the luscious interior featuring Dakota Leather with exclusive stitching and an instrument panel in Sensatec with double-seam details to the Fine-wood Ash Trunkwood open-pored trim with Pearl Chrome finisher. Then there’s the electrically adjustable front Comfort seats—previously available only in the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo and 7 Series—along with similarly comfy rear seats, 4-zone automatic air conditioning and more.
But it’s not just all bling, as the new BMW 530i Opulence is also powered by a BMW TwinPower Turbo 4-cylinder petrol engine featuring Double VANOS, High Precision Injection, and BMW EfficientDynamics technology, but with a maximum output of 252hp and top torque of 350Nm. As such, the car can go from 0 to 100kph in an incredible 6.1 seconds. As for green credentials, the new BMW 530i Opulence has a fuel efficiency rating of 14,8km/liter and CO2 emissions of just 154g/km.
In short, the new BMW 530i Opulence is a car that’s great to drive, great to be driven in and looks great as well.

One Final Touch 
Last but definitely not least, a particularly noteworthy feature of the BMW 5 Series is the 12.3-inch Control Display on the center console, which provides easy access to infotainment, communication, and navigation functions. Alternatively, drivers can easily access the same functions using the iDrive Touch Controller, the controls on the steering wheel, voice control using the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant or optional BMW gesture control. On top of all that, the BMW Operating System 7 is added to the standard specifications for the BMW 5 Series, paving the way for many potential new applications and connectivity options in the future.
So, in closing, it’s safe to say that THE NEW 5 models recently introduced not only look great and handle well, they are also incredibly intuitive, which is definitely a big plus for modern drivers.
