Top Six Must-Have Watches for March ’23

The biggest watch reveals of the year is close by, but in the meantime, here are six must-have timepieces to feast your eyes on

Hermès Ho8 – A Balancing Act

The latest Hermès H08 watch in a new rose gold and titanium model comes with a touch of sporty spirit and an urban look that echoes the masculine universe of the House. Designed by Philippe Delhotal, Creative Director of Hermès Horloger, the Hermès H08 watch showcases a singular aesthetic featuring a circular dial with an original font, housed in a square case with softened edges. What’s more, this play on opposites is also enhanced by a black ceramic bezel and crown, while the two-tone case highlights the depth of the blackened, finely-grained dial against which luminescent golden hands and Arabic numerals stand out in perfect clarity. The Manufacture Hermès H1837 mechanical self-winding movement completes the elegance of this new model.

Breitling x Deus Ex Machina – Adventure Time

Breitling and the Australian custom motorcycle and surf outfitter Deus Ex Machina have teamed up once again for the second edition of the Top Time Deus timepiece. Limited to 2000 pieces, the new Top Time Deus comes with luminescent indexes and a white lacquered dial contrasted by sky-blue on its subdials and speed-measuring tachymeter scale. Uniquely, this reimagined collaboration retains the features of the original that made it a winner – the lightning-bolt shaped chronograph hand, mushroom pushers, racing-inspired calfskin leather strap, and the case back engraving of a Deus bike and rider created by Deus creative director Carby Tuckwell. All these details are now presented in a completely new color scheme, making it a truly unique timepiece.

TAG Heuer Monza Flyback Chronometer – Modern Reinterpretation

At this year’s LVMH Watch Week, TAG Heuer launched the Monza Flyback Chronometer in a striking carbon rendition. As a contemporary tribute to the indelible link between TAG Heuer and competition motorsport, the watch is reintroduced this time through an ultra-lightweight and resistant carbon with an extreme sports look that embodies the very essence of the brand. Upfront, the unique skeletonized dial reveals the movement underneath, while its striking black dial features a two-register layout with a translucent fumé blue sapphire-crystal chronograph counter at 3 and the permanent second at 6 o’clock. Driven by the Manufacture Calibre Heuer 02 Flyback with COSC certification, this 42mm new timepiece is undoubtedly a watchmaking statement. Read more on this year LVMH Tag Heuer highlights here.

Tissot SuperSport – Sports Connection

Tissot celebrates its longstanding partnership with the NBA by enriching one of its most iconic sports watches, the Tissot SuperSport, with vibrant new straps. The collection itself features straps inspired by the uniform of 11 different NBA teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks. However, one thing that standout more is arguably the Wilson Edition strap, which is crafted from the same leather used to make the official game ball. In the end, these easy, versatile, fun-to-wear straps will surely add a vibrant twist to the look of the black SuperSport, and it’s definitely a must-have for NBA fans.

Grand Seiko Heritage Collection – The Captivating One

Appearance-wise, the limited- edition Grand Seiko Heritage Collection Caliber 9S 25th Anniversary Limited Edition SBGH311 is graced by a silver dial whose texture and color evoke the sight of the sea of clouds that cover Mt. Iwate in Iwate Prefecture, where all Grand Seiko mechanical watches are manufactured. Of particular note, this scene is only visible at daybreak when the air is so still and humid that dense clouds overlap to create a beautiful silvery-white sea. Beneath its magnificent dial, the watch is equipped with the Hi- Beat 36000 automatic mechanical Caliber 9S85, which is hand-assembled by the skilled craftsmen and women of the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi and delivers a power reserve of 55 hours.

Bell & Ross BR-X5 Carbon Orange – Instantly Recognizable

As the name implies, the BR-X5 Carbon Orange from Bell & Ross comes in the various touches of orange and black marbling of the carbon. In a nutshell, this new BR-X5 undoubtedly imposes its powerful, avant-garde and sporty look, making it more than just a watch but also a work of art. Just like the BR-X5 Black Steel and the BR-X5 Ice Blue Steel in the latest BR-X5 collection, appearance- wise, the BR-X5 Carbon Orange also features the household “round within the square” design. Limited to 500 pieces, the two functions that are useful in everyday life from an oversized vertical date and the power reserve indicator, complete its unique look.
