Swinging from the top of the box office to a fashion campaign, the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” star is now the face of the House’s spring/summer 2022 campaign.
To showcase the collection of the season by Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the English actor performs as ‘himself’ in a series of photographs by David Sims. As the luxury brand states, “In a re-contextualizing of a figure world-renown for his action hero roles, Holland here becomes an embodiment of today’s Prada man.”
With Creative Direction by Ferdinando Verderi, the idea behind the shoot was that Holland should act as he does, and this time, he is portraying his true self. Instead of the iconic red and blue suit, he is rocking a red Prada jacket, fixing his strong gaze in a white embroidered button down.
“The power of acting is to draw on a well of personal experience to convey a mood, an emotion and feeling that, while fiction, borrows its fact from the performers own humanity,” the brand’s statement continues. “These images cement minute of actions and reactions, close and gentle moments – the rapport between garment and body, gestures of dressing and undressing alive within the imagery. Instead of a cinematic panorama, Holland is portrayed via portraits, intimate and real.”
