New York based designer Thom Browne have gone deeper into the global sports world after being appointed as the official tailor for football giants, FC Barcelona starting next season.
Browne will surely bring his latest spring look to the renowned club, where the dandy suit up look are given the shrunken effect, with details like his signature shorts and striped socks.
This will be Browne’s second venture into professional sports teams, after he dressed the Cleveland Cavaliers during their NBA Finals pre-match appearances this year – to which King James once made heads turn when he sported the shorts and high socks combo.
It’s interesting to see what Browne will bring to the Catalans, with a team filled with notable style icons like Gerard Pique, Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho – and historic colors to keep with traditions.
From what we see in the promotional images, Browne seem likely to highlight the same classy shorts and high socks look into the legendary grounds of Camp Nou.
The collaboration will be visible during the team’s away games on the 2018/19 season, most notably the Champions League – where the whole world will see the players at their sharpest.
