TAG Heuer Unveils The New Generation of the Carrera Three Hands

The latest iteration of the Carrera Three Hands collection is presented in a wide range of sizes. In particular, the line consists of 13 references within four sub-collections, covering sizes from 29mm to a 41mm

Back in 1963, TAG Heuer—at the time still just Heuer—introduced one of its most iconic lines: the Carrera. Designed by Jack Heuer himself, CEO of the watchmaker at the time, and named after the grueling Carrera Panamericana race, the Carrera watches have become synonymous with motor sports. These timepieces, with their smooth, clean lines and perfect proportions, have become instantly recognizable and elevated to the ranks of horological icons.

The Swiss avant-garde brand then introduced the TAG Heuer Carrera Three Hands version in the early 2000s. Since then, this particular line has been the embodiment of TAG Heuer’s unwavering quest for perfect readability and clarity. This year, driven by the commitment that has fueled the company for nearly 100 years, TAG Heuer revisits the Carrera Three Hands collection with a touch of modernity and the same passion for creating timepieces with a striking design that ensures perfect readability for drivers, and anybody lucky enough to strap one of these watches to their wrists. The new Carrera Three Hands collection presents a total of 13 models in four versions.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date 41mm

The TAG Heuer Carrera Day Date 41mm is powered by the Calibre 5 automatic movement. Equipped with a new case with refined lugs, the watch comes with a new H-shaped bracelet or, alternatively, a brown alligator leather strap.

Moving to the front, dial readability becomes a central asset, especially with the bolder hands and refined index integration. The Day Date 41mm is also fitted with a thinner date frame. In terms of the dial as a whole, the watch is available in three colors, including a blue sunray-brushed dial, a silver sunray-brushed dial and, lastly, two black sunray-snailed dials.

The elegant and sporty design of the TAG Heuer Carrera Twin-Time is highlighted by a new, refined bicolor flange in silver and blue to indicate day and night. On top of that, the dial also offers bolder hour and minute hands, as well as a refined Twin-Time hand tip.

Beneath the dial, the watch is driven by the Caliber 7 automatic movement, which boasts 50 hours of power reserve. Last but not least, this Twin-Time version is completed with the new H-shaped bracelet, as well as an engraved oscillating weight inscribed with: “TAG Heuer – Calibre 7 – Swiss Made”

The TAG Heuer Carrera Date 39mm

Just like the Day Date 41mm model, the dial readability of the TAG Heuer Carrera 39mm is a central asset, especially with the bolder hands and refined index integration. The watch displays the hours, minutes, seconds function along with the date at 6 o’clock.

The Calibre 5 automatic movement powering the TAG Heuer Carrera 39mm has a 38 hours of power reserve and 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). Lastly, the watch is complemented with the new steel H-shaped bracelet and also a new case with refined lugs.
