ICON OF THE OPERA. Music and watchmaking don’t ever seem to hold hands and walk together. But that is not the case with Raymond Weil. The luxury watchmaker, also one of the last remaining Swiss family-owned brands, is celebrating the joy of music, in particular the opera tunes by Giuseppe Verdi, with the Nabucco model.
In an effort to replicate that sentimentality with the contemporary music industry, the Nabucco Rivoluzione piece becomes the timekeeping icon for the brand’s partnership with the 2014 BRIT Awards. It made appearances during the latter event, supported by top musicians including Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, John Newman, Disclosure, Jake Bugg and many more.
