ETERNAL FLARE. As a basic component of menswear, pants invariably get redefined with new looks every season
Making a strong presence this season are wide-leg, flared pants. Not quite the graphic bell-bottom cuts of the seventies, the flared pants proposed by designers today are roomier, with the hemline slightly wider than a boot cut. Celebrating wide-leg pants, which seems to have taken hints from the styles of various eras, including the 1920s, 40s and 70s, are labels ranging from Louis Vuitton and Lanvin to Etro and Acne.
