The house has shared private images taken from founder Jeanne Lanvin’s archives and the brand’s headquarter at Paris’ Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré since January 1 this year. Those pictures reveal meaningful momentums, not excluding Lanvin’s first bespoke high-waist suit for men worn by French poet Edmond Rostand in 1901 and the colorful sketches by Jeanne Lanvin herself, which at the same time allow any avid fan to connect the dots and trace how the brand has evolved throughout the decades.

Speaking of which, the evolution of Lanvin’s menswear has undergone tremendous changes under the helm of Lucas Ossendrijver from 2006 onwards. The high-waist suit of the past is now replaced with Ossendrijver’s hip suit-and sneakers pairing. Boldly experimenting with textures, structural shapes and colors, the Belgian designer applies an avant-garde approach to menswear to perfection. The result is season after season of distinctive contemporary luxury, which marks another milestone on its own in the history of Lanvin.
