NEW TRIBE. Fashion’s original visionary of sexuality, Versace enlarges its kingdom further by adding Belgianborn Anthony Vaccarello to its creative collaboration roster for Versus Versace fall/winter 2014/15.
Vaccarello, who is of Italian descent, was able to display his handiwork on a highly anticipated collection that was launched during New York Fashion Week in September. Both known for rebellious but considered creations, the collaboration between Versace and Vaccarello is creating a buzz for daring pieces that are made instantly available to purchase online after the show. In an interview, Donatella confirmed her vision for the brand, “Versus has to reach a new kind of tribe. It’s out there on the Internet, and it’s digital in the sense of ‘I see it, I want it now.’ The newest thing about all of this is you can wear it tomorrow.”
