Honoring 18 trailblazing years, DAMAN hosted a star-studded evening filled with fashion, lifestyle and unforgettable celebration

On May 28, 2025, DAMAN magazine marked its 18th anniversary with a spectacular event at the 25hours Hotel Jakarta The Oddbird, one of the city’s boldest new lifestyle destinations. Known for celebrating fashion ingenuity, DAMAN found an ideal partner in this vibrant venue. Longtime collaborators and friends gathered for a night of connection and celebration. The Oddbird is a new and eccentric escape with eye-catching design, located in Jakarta’s dynamic Sudirman Central Business District. The hotel features 210 rooms inspired by either lush “Garden” or retro “Urban” themes, complete with record players, panoramic views, in-room swings and playful design touches. Guests can sip creative cocktails at The Oddbird Bar, sample Latin American cuisine at COPA, or enjoy plant-based snacks poolside at Cabana. The property also offers a ballroom, co-working spaces, conference rooms, Vida Spa and an infinity pool—all of which set the stage for DAMAN’s milestone celebration.
As some of Indonesia’s biggest names in fashion and entertainment made their arrivals, the red carpet buzzed with excitement, setting the tone for the evening. Actors such as Hamish Daud, Chicco Jerikho, Marc Klok, Richard Kyle, Marcelino Lefrandt, Jeremy Thomas, Zack Lee, Winky Wiryawan and Sean Rumsey lit up the scene, while actresses Atiqah Hasiholan, Kenes Andari, and Olivia Pramaisella added elegance and star power. New-generation talents including Keanu Campora, Pangeran Lantang, Axell Matthew, Jerome Kurnia and Yesaya Abraham brought youthful energy to a red carpet that truly lived up to the moment. Flashes popped as each guest posed before the DAMAN backdrop.
From there, the party moved to The Oddbird Bar, which was transformed into an immersive space featuring DAMAN’s signature design language and floral accents created just for the occasion.
A lineup of leading brand partners elevated the mood of the evening. One of the highlights was King Seiko, the revived Japanese watch brand originally launched in 1961 by the Daini Seikosha Factory. Throughout the night, guests could be seen wearing the “Newest Classic”—a refined expression of modern elegance rooted in heritage watchmaking. Adding to the excitement, DA MAN also presented an exclusive Get Ready with Me featuring Hamish Daud and King Seiko, giving a behind-the-scenes look at his style prep for the night.

The evening also featured a special appearance by Syrco BASE, led by award-winning chef Syrco Bakker. Known for its inventive approach and sophisticated flavor profiles, the Bali-based culinary destination brought a taste of Michelin-level excellence to Jakarta. Every detail reflected the team’s global recognition, from its success at the Diageo WORLD CLASS competition to its Gold win at the Prestige Gourmet Awards 2025.
On the drinks side, Mouton Cadet introduced guests to classic Bordeaux style. With roots dating back to 1930, the French wine label brought a sense of approachable sophistication to the evening. Striking a balance between heritage and modern drinkability, Mouton Cadet proved a perfect match for the stylish crowd.

Adding a bolder note, Tequila Cenote—an ultra-premium spirit made from 100 percent Blue Weber Agave—impressed with “The Modern Gentleman,” an exclusive cocktail inspired by the mysterious cenotes of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. Its layered complexity and distinctive edge made it one of the night’s most talked-about drinks.

Also turning heads was East Indies Gin, a Bali-based label with international flair. Guests enjoyed the specially crafted King Seiko Vanac Bloom, a cocktail that echoed both the gin’s style and the Seiko narrative. The tall East Indies display also became one of the venue’s most photographed spots.
In keeping with tradition, DAMAN honored two individuals who have made a lasting mark on the entertainment world. Chicco Jerikho took the spotlight as DAMAN Gentleman of the Year—a tribute to his enduring achievements, timeless charisma and embodiment of the modern Indonesian leading man. Meanwhile, Jerome Kurnia received the DAMAN Rising Star of the Year award in recognition of his career breakthroughs, growing influence and compelling screen presence. No anniversary would be complete without a proper toast, and this one brought the house to life. Glasses were raised, voices joined in celebration and the atmosphere reached a new high.
Throughout the night, guests enjoyed an array of dishes from the hotel’s culinary gem, COPA Restaurant. From beautifully plated canapés to full-course offerings, every bite showcased its signature Latin-inspired flavors. The evening’s energy soared even higher with a soulful live performance by Sean Rumsey, whose heartfelt vocals made the toasting ceremony all the more memorable.
As the night gave way to a spirited after-party, the energy never waned. What began as a celebration became a vibrant tribute to nearly two decades of style, substance and storytelling. DAMAN’s 18th anniversary served not only as a milestone, but as a reminder of its continued mission—to inspire, elevate and connect a growing community of modern men and culture-shapers for years to come.
