Stefano Pilati brings his A-game in soft tailoring, relaxed silhouette and discreet elegance in his latest creation of Ermenegildo Zegna Couture Spring/Summer 2015.
Holding the show in Milan, a city prominently known for strict and dandy menswear code, the collection paradoxically draws inspirations from an unfinished house Pilati encountered in Greece. The deconstructed nature of the house then inspires an elongated robe paired with loose pants, suit with jacket tied around the waist and oversized coat. But the most notable touches for the house as conventional as Zegna are the vibrant colors unveiled toward the end of the runway. It may be sensible to say that the word “conventional” no longer suits the brand from this season on.
