This season, big shoulders become the dominant silhouette.
At Prada, the big shoulder aesthetic loomed in a cinched red trench, with the second half of the body zooming outwards. Louis Vuitton’s take of the trend was more spiritual, meandering through the clouds and beckoning at a sci-fi future, with shoulders angular and razor-sharp. Dolce & Gabbana took parts of the ’80s power suit trend a little too far but Alexander McQueen presented a super slick yet finely tailored take in an all-black ensemble.
