Robert Irwin is embracing a bold new chapter—this time, in nothing but his Bonds. The 20-year-old wildlife warrior has made his debut as the face of the Australian underwear brand’s latest campaign, stepping confidently into a role once filled by cultural icons like Pat Rafter and Nick Kyrgios. It’s a striking pivot from his usual khakis, but one that Irwin wears with ease.
“I’ve always admired the way Bonds has encouraged self-expression and celebrated individuality,” he shared in a statement. “I’m excited to join the Bonds family and hopefully inspire others to feel confident in their own skin.”

The campaign features Irwin in a playful, colorful series of images that highlight Bonds’ signature blend of comfort and personality. Shot in a setting that echoes Irwin’s sunny demeanor and down-to-earth charm, the visuals are a fresh take on modern masculinity, fusing fun with authenticity.
This marks Irwin’s first major fashion endorsement and a noticeable evolution in his public persona. While he remains deeply rooted in his family’s legacy at the Australia Zoo, this move signals a willingness to explore new creative avenues. “This was so different for me,” he told Today. “But I think stepping out of your comfort zone and trying something new is such a good thing.”
