Night speed, high glam. Singapore’s F1 night Grand Prix race is on September 25 this year at the Marina Bay Street Circuit, and there are plenty of extra attractions in addition to the race.
These extras include the legendary parties alongside glamorous people, celebrities and racing aficionados. One such “extra” on race day is a live performance by Grammy-winning Linkin Park and several other stars, as well as Tod’s fashion brand launching a new edition of their signature gommino driving shoes, a special cross-over version with Ferrari for men.
A unique window display will be installed throughout September. For all the extra events and entertainment details, go to this website.
The 61 laps on the highly technical course under the lights is one of the F1 season’s highlights. Last year’s runner-up was Sebastian Vettel and he currently sits atop the 2011 standings. Others that could pose a challenge include Jenson Button, Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton and the 2010 Singapore winner, Fernando Alonso.
