<h2>Kering and Alexander McQueen are thrilled to announce the appointment of Seán McGirr as the Creative Director of the House</h2>
A few days after Sarah Burton presented her final collection after 26 years as Creative Director, Irish designer Seán McGirr was unveiled as the next Creative Director for the British label. Seán McGirr previously held the position of Head of Ready-to-Wear at JW Anderson. He began his tenure at JW Anderson in 2020, initially overseeing the men&#8217;s collections and later taking on the responsibility for womenswear. Prior to that role, he served as Women&#8217;s Designer at Dries Van Noten in Antwerp.

McGirr graduated with a Master of Arts in Fashion from Central Saint Martins in London in 2014. He then began contributing to Uniqlo&#8217;s creative teams in Tokyo and Paris, primarily focusing on the men&#8217;s collections under the guidance of Christophe Lemaire until 2018.
