Savage x Fenty Launch Menswear Collection

In a collaboration with rapper Christian Combs, Rihanna designed a menswear capsule collection under Savage x Fenty that will launch on October 2.

Rihanna and her Savage x Fenty lingerie line are broadening their horizons by releasing their first collection of men’s loungewear and underwear. The announcement comes ahead of the Savage X Fenty Fall/Winter 2020 show which will premiere on Amazon in the near future. She appointed rapper Christian Combs as the new brand ambassador to model the first installment which will release on October 2.

Both Rihanna and Combs worked together to create underwear that is versatile enough for everyday use. The 11-piece collection includes boxers, boxer briefs and trunks with the Savage x Fenty logo waistband and in monogram prints. The shades range from royals and reds to black and white. Combs, one of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sons and a rapper in his own right under the stage name King Combs, expressed that though the line is designed for men, it is intended to be worn by everyone.

“I want to create men’s wear styles that everyone can wear,” said Rihanna in a statement. “And after Christian did such a great job at the 2019 fashion show wearing men’s, I knew we had to have him as a collaborator.” The capsule also offers a satin, oversized monogram print pajama top and bottom set. “I am honored to be working with a multi-faceted talent like Rihanna, who represents diversity across all her Fenty brands,” said Christian. Combs will also model the fall 2020 line in the upcoming Savage x Fenty Show Vol. 2 that will be premiering exclusively on Prime Video, and he’ll be joined by returning models and entertainers such as Bella Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Big Sean, Normani and Paloma Elsesser, and newcomers such as Lizzo, Rico Nasty, Willow Smith, Laura Harrier, Irina Shayk, Chika, Erika Jayne, Gigi Goode, Shea Couleé, Miss 5th Avenue, Jaida Essence Hall, Paris Hilton, and Demi Moore. This year’s show will include performances by Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, Ella Mai, Miguel, Mustard, Roddy Ricch and Rosalia.
