EXPRESSIVE ARTISTIC SPIRIT. After last season’s romp with Robert Pattinson, Dior Homme once again entrusts the English Actor to be the face for its Spring 2018 campaign
After a more formal take for its fall 2017 campaign, Dior Homme’s creative director Kris Van Assche heads to a slightly more casual style for its spring 2018. The campaign once again turns to English actor Robert Pattinson to show off the new look, while famed photographer and renowned fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld goes behind the lens to capture the images. The concept of the campaign seems to embrace the concept of an artist seeking inspiration in his studio apartment as Paris’s beautiful skyline peeps through the windows in the background amplifying a combined sense of past, present and future. Like the campaign before, the images are presented in black and white adding a more dramatic edge to the look.
As for the looks displayed by Pattinson, Dior Homme’s Spring 2018 collection seems to have a more casual laid back style compared to the previous season. Although Pattinson can be seen sporting several classic tailored looks, leisure sportswear and a number of Dior Homme’s choice accessories have been thrown into the mix, taking away the whole formal style of the new collection, creating a style that although looks classic is still appropriate for those wanting a youthful look. It seems that Van Assche’s vision for next year’s sunny season is set to be more relaxed while still maintaining a formal styling for those special moments one may need to dress up.
