French fashion brand Pierre Cardin enlisted Samsung in creating a highly customized version of an Android tablet, known as the PC-7006.
Packed with a 7.0-inch capacitive multi-touch screen with an 800×480 resolution, a 1.0-GHz Samsung S5PV210 processor and 512-MB DDR II RAM, the device runs an Android 2.2 with 4-GB onboard memory storage supporting a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, a mini-USB slot for 3G dongle and HDMI and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calling or webcam usage.
Design-wise, the tablet comes in an avant-garde style with a sleek Pierre Cardin-labeled case bearing the iconic “P” logo of the fashion brand. Clearly we need to see more collaboration between major fashion brands and electronic companies.
