Onitsuka Tiger Releases a Sandal-Sneaker Hybrid With Oversized Logo Update

Japan shoemaker Onitsuka Tiger drops the Big Logo Runner Sandal in three fresh colorways. The sandal-sneaker hybrid features the brand’s defining stripe logo in an oversized update. 

Continuing to push their creative boundaries, Onitsuka Tiger drops a sandal-sneaker hybrid that offers a contemporary silhouette as its latest release. Dubbed the “Big Logo Runner Sandal,” the model features an exaggerated style update in the form of a large stripe logo—one of the defining hallmarks of the brand.

The sneakers are made of mesh and synthetic leather for the uppers, while the exaggerated side logo of the kicks features a transparent, gel-like design that wraps itself all around the midsole, lace keeper and heel for as a reflection to Onitsuka Tiger’s modern aesthetic. And it wouldn’t be an Onitsuka Tiger sneaker without its functional elements: The midsole is made from ASICSfuzeGEL that guarantees cushioning alongside an Ortholite sockliner for moisture management.

As mentioned earlier, the Big Logo Runner Sandal is released in three colorways. The silver and yellow iteration features tonal paneling that projects a monochromatic effect while the red edition is accented with contrasting details.
